I had a premium account and a lot of songs in my tracklist... So I started up spotify as usual but I saw that my account is completely wiped. I thought that it was a facebook problem at first but I forgot my account's password, then I put my account name in (not my email) and the "reset your password" didn't come into my mailbox. I have no idea how this could've happened since I only have spotify on my iPad and my PC (iPads are secure and malwarebytes didn't find anything (just some false positive PUPs). Can you help me? Is there a way to get my account back?
Check your e-mail for any messages from Spotify.
nope none coming... just a password change form for my EMAIL I think somebody got a hold of my account and changed the email account it was linked to (I dont know if that is possible)
Thought so. Got the same problem, got an e-mail that the mail linked to my account was changed. Means someone managed to log into your Spotify account and change it from there.
Try searching your e-mail adress or user name on Google and use at search tools 'word by word'. I found my e-mail adress and password online. If you find yours, then there is no deny that your account has been hijacked.
Well I feel sorry for you :(. I looked at google and it didn't show anything but haveibeenpwned says that i was in an unconfirmed breach but my spotify acc. didn't have the same pass. I have no idea what happened
That might mean you have been hijacked.
I made this post so that I can maybe get help before spotify help emails me something because I had a question before which didn't get answered. I hope they can resolve this issue. You should email them too.
