Spotify account got hacked

Spotify account got hacked

I noticed this morning that I was unable to log into my account. When I searched my inbox, I noticed that I received yesterday at 20:48 an e-mail that someone changed my e-mail linked to my account. Now I can't access my account as my passowrd is changed after this. I received no notification of changed password and can't reverse this. So far, thisw is the only account I have that is compromised. I need help reversing this ASAP.

I did make a message to Spotify about this, but at the wrong place. Should this be a problem? Or should I make a other one in the right category at contact?

Just to be sure, I have sent a second e-mail to the right catergory. I hope this will be solved ASAP.

I searched on the internet for my name and guess what? I find my e-mail and password along with quite a lot of other names. From 22 april 2017!

Thanks for letting us know that you managed to get in contact with our official support team using the link that @Maxim provided you with earlier.

 

Just so you're aware, we monitor Pastebin and other sites regularly. When we find Spotify credentials, we first verify that they are authentic, and if they are, we immediately notify affected users to change their passwords. Rest assured, we take account security very seriously.

 

We're afraid we can’t provide any further information about the status of your details on other services. We hope this clears things up.
