Non-Facebook account, how to find Facebook number?

Hi, I'm a happy Spotify user from before the Facebook user-merge. 

I have no Facebook account, and the day this is forced upon me my Spotify Premium goes 'bye bye'. However I love sharing music, and I would like to share with some of my friends who have Facebook/Spotify. How do I find my friends? Do my friends have a way to lookup the Facebook/Spotify userID?

And if I have the userID, can I use 'spotify:user:<ID>'?

Yes, you can.

For example: spotify:user:hpguru

But new accounts with Facebook required are numbers... So you need to ask usernames from your friends. No other way you can find those without a Facebook. 😞

How do Facebook users get their Spotify ID/number?

It's simple. They just click song, then share, then Facebook and then they can type first name and Spotify show's username and when they click, it appears in sharing box like Firstname Lastname. Also they can see all Facebook-Spotify users in View - People list. I just deleted my Facebook account completely. So I no more see my Spotify friends, but this is not problem to me.

i searched in the people window and search window and nothing came up.....  where exactly do i enter the username of the person I wish to find(non facebook user)

I was able to find my friend's facebook ID number by going to their profile and right-clicking their name next to their picture and choosing "copy spotify URI" which puts "spotify:user:xxxxxxxx" where the xxxxxxxx is the facebook ID number that you need to get to their account if you are using spotify credentials.

There may be 2 options for them to find this on their own:
#1 - going to their own account on spotify and following the instructions above and pasting this link and sending it to you

#2 - going to the top right of the spotify client and clicking on their picture/name and clicking on the "Account..." link. This will bring up a webpage and (at least for my as a user with a spotify login) shows my username. I believe it will show their facebook spotify userID under 'username' instead.

Hopefully this helps everyone looking for an answer to this problem that makes for sharing music with facebook users (as a non-facebook user) a huge pain.
