can't change country

can't change country

hi,

i'm in the US  but for some reason my country is set to United Kingdom. 

I don't think i selected that when i signed up, but i suppose i may have selected it by accident.

 

In anycase, I can't set it back. 

 

I read about some others who had the same issue, but they are actually in Europe. Can anyone from spotify help?

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

 

The Spotify system will only allow you to change your country to whichever country it thinks your current IP address is in. Are you using a VPN or proxy or anything that might be confusing the system. You should be able to change your country from your online profile but you might need to enter your billing details to verify your location if requested, don't worry your card won't be charged.

If you are still having issues, you will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to look into your account a little closer for you.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
