Password Issues

I have spotify for a year now on my PC.  I recently got a new phone and tried to use the spotify app.  It would not take my password.  I tried to reset my password.  It said that it was reset.  Now I can't log into the phone or my PC.  I have tried to reset a few times now.  How can I fix this?

Hi dd123 -  Hm, I can confirm everything is alright on our end. Do you mind confirming which username you're using? 

 

It's worth doing a quick clean reinstallation on your PC. Then try signing in with that latest password update.

I did a quick clean and reinstallation.  It did not work?  My user name is my email address which I don't want to publish online.  It is the same address I have always had.  This issue seemed to start with my phone?  I deleted it of my phone until we could get it working.  Should I change my username?  I don't want to lose all the playlists I created.

I think I see the problem. You said this earlier:

 

"My username is my email address"

 

When you are not using a Facebook login, you need to use a Spotify username. That cannot be an email address.

 

I won't post your full Spotify username here, but here's a hint: dxxxxxaxxxs

 

If you need more help, use the password reset form. It will quote your Spotify username.
