Playlist disappeared & Artists I'm Following list lost

I just spent two days building a special Playlist and an Artist List to follow of over 250 artists.  When I logged into my account today the Playlist was gone & my List of Artists had reverted to where they were 3 days ago.

I've been a paid subscriber to Pandora for over 5 years & wanted to try Spotify to see if it afforded me the flexibility I'm looking for, that Pandora doesn't. After this experience I'm not sure I want to invest more time into this app. 

BTW, I tried the "restoring a deleted playlist" guideline in the Help section, but it said I hadn't deleted any playlists.  This is true, my Playlist just disappeared!

Does Spotify save Playlists by their specific unique given names?  I'm sure no one else has made one with the name I used.
