Premium Account Stolen

Gotta say this isn't cool. Everything was working fine then suddenly I got logged out of the app on my phone and was unable to sign in again via the phone or computer. I tried the change password request and noticed that the system is no longer regonizing my e-mail which means the reset request are not coming to me, also my password doesn't work. (User: Shok401740)

 

Considering the cost of this service, and the fact that they do not alert you when sensitive data is being changed on a paid account I will likely have to cancel and stop payment on any future charge attempts. It's crazy that you have to go through so much to regain access, and sucks because prior to this I've been a premium account holder for nearly 2 years. Guess it's time to try somebody else. 😞

 

Note: I've sent in a request to customer service via the form but still no response: Case # 01391819)

I have the same issue, have been unable to use the service all day.  Can't log in with user name, password recovery by user name does not deliver an email, and password recovery by email gives an error.  Had to register a different spotify free account just to post this.  Got the automated reply for my help ticket (case 01392443), but no real information yet.  Please advise.

@davidkw - If you could reply directly to the automated email that will bump your case over to an adviser.

Well as you can see I have my account back! Please note that this took about 3 business days to resolve.

 

It was discovered that my account was in fact hacked, and once it was returned as expended all of my playlist had been deleted. (Luckly we do have the restore function available, but this does not help with "Starred" tracks)

 

Just an FYI for anybody else who may have this problem.

Support should be able to restore the starred tracks if you ping them an email (or tweet them).
