Premium Not Working

Premium Not Working

Hi fine folks of Spotify,

My premium account is not working after I logged in with my iPhone 4.  I have paid for the premium account and would love for it to be fixed so I can use it on my iPhone, MacBook, and iPad.

Thanks!

I have the same problem too. I'm still hearing ads as well.

I have Spotify Premium on my macbook, my iPad, and my iPhone. Aside from the usual problems everyone else is having with Premium streaming (drop-outs, "buffering"-like symptoms, etc., my macbook quit letting it launch. I can't use it at all on that computer, which is the one everything else is synched to. What gives?

Hi,

Please note it can take a while to activate premium.

To check if your account is premium, go to account settings>manage subscriptions, it will say if you are premium on that page

Spotify should say 'Spotify Premium' at the top.

Have you tried logging out then in again? Alternatively, try a complete reinstall.

If it has not worked within an hour, please submit a support ticket on the contact form here: https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/

We have three Premium accounts on three seperate phones - NONE of them are working now - they've all gone "down" over the past month or two - they are paid for - my Windows phone recently quit working - you click on the song and nothing happens - VERY frustrating - I've deleted and reinstalled the app also

Hi,

I believe there is currently a bug with win phone 8 devices, so that isnt due to your account.

As I said in my previous post, feel free to submit a support ticket, and a spotify agent should fix it for you.

matt54 - What OSX are you using?

shandwnwhippet - Please make sure you're logging in with your Facebook details. That way, you should always access your Premium.

I'm using OSX 10.5.8 - same OS I had when I downloaded Spotify and when I set it up. Been using it with few problems til about Friday when it quit unexpectedly and now won't launch. Still works on my iPad and iPhone, but need it to work on my main computer.

And I always logon using Facebook.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

Unfortunately, Spotify are no longer supporting Mac OS X 10.5.x which is why you are having issues with the latest version of the client. I would suggest you update your OS X if you want to continue using Spotify with new updates.

It is possible to continue to use Spotify on OS X 10.5.x with a little bit of extra work, since there is a bug in the old client meaning it will auto-update to the broken version. All of the information about OS X 10.5.x support and links to important announcements are in my post here.
