Question about the 3 devices policy

Question about the 3 devices policy

So, I'm interested in signing up for Premium so I can listen to music offline using an ipod and a tablet.  I am planning on listening to music on two computers, online only, as well.

My question is am I limited to only 3 devices (online or off) for my account, or am I limited to listening offline to 3 devices (as as many online devices as I want)?

You can go online on as many devices as you want, but only have offline playlists on 3 different devices.

Not to hijack this thread but does that mean I can have three devices on one premium account streaming music simultaneously? If so, something is broken. Everytime I try to have a second device play a song on Spotify the first device stops and a message pops up saying another device is  using the account. What gives?

To clarify, you can sync offline playlists on three devices at a time. But you can only stream through one device at once. Playback will be paused on your device if you begin to stream it somewhere else.
