I think someone is using my account. I have trouble logging in, and when i just reset my password, i found all my playlists are gone, and replased whitch spanish ones. How can i fix this, and get my music back? I have premium.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Well i just tested it, if you log into your account and changed the password it dosent actually email to say they've done it. So someone has logged into our accounts, changed our passwords in our profile and used it.
Ive changed my password and clicked the "Sign out everywhere" button to get rid for now. I want to know how they got in though.
I had same issue. German playlists. And random devices in my list. They somehow changed my password without it emailing me that my password was changed...
Hey @chilun, welcome to the Spotify Community!
All you need to do is get in contact with Spotify support and their Accounts team can take a look backstage. The easiest way to contact them is by messaging SpotifyCares on Facebook or Twitter. They usually respond within 48 hours!
Please let me know if you need help with anything else 🙂
I did not get an “password reset” e-mail either. Did you manage to get your own music back, or did you have to start all over?
They didnt delete anything, they just added a bunch of German lists and un-downloaded all my downloaded stuff. I want to know HOW they got into my account not just getting it fixed.
I see. Yes i agree.

I have, thank you 😃
I have Jacob thanks. I have messaged them on FB but i take security very seriously and someone has been on my account. My address is on my account, unfortunatley i may have to wait 48 hours to hear back but if i dont get an answer as to how my account was breached i will certainly be going elsewhere for music streaming.
Thank you, i'll do that. If Spotify answers me on facebook, i'll let you know what they say about it.
Do you know what irritates me the most? Any other service i use out there, if i login to my account and change the password i get an email saying "Your XXX password has changed, if this was you, please ignore this email, otherwise please contact support at XXX".
If Spotify had this level of security id have known the moment some muppet out there changed my password and could have taken action before they added new playlists and devices.
I managed to recover my playlists from “my account” on my computer. However, I still have a lot of Spanish songs and many of my old songs are permanently deleted. I guess I can live with that, but if anyone finds out how to go back in time (like to a specific date), and if anyone knows how I can set my account to notice me whenever the password is changed, please let me know 😃
