Spotify Friend List isn't working

I can't figure this out for some reason my friend list has stop working and I can't see what anyone else is listening to. It is driving me crazy! Does anyone have a solution? I've tried disconnecting facebook and reconnecting...nothing.

Have you tried logging out then in?

Yes I've log in and out several times using both facebook login and the login from my spotify username whicha re connected. Still nothing though. I can't seem to get it to load any more. I tried changing to English in the langauge section (it was on auto), still no change. Then I checked all the boxes to let it post my activity to FB, still no luck. What is wrong?

I have a solution!

I know others in the Spotify world have the same issue and here are solid, tested and true tips to getting your friends list to generate on spotify:

If Spotify is telling you "you have 0 facebook friends on Spotify" follow these trouble shooters:

1) Delete the Spotify app from your facebook (found in settings / apps)

2) Uninstall Spotify from your computer and reinstall (control panel / programs & features / find Spotify, and uninstall).

3) Google Spotify and download / Log onto Spotfiy using a user name and password, NOT through facebook

4) Once logged in, go to preferences and connect to facebook

5) When prompted to log in to facebook, make sure your profile for Spotify is public (this does'nt allow Spotify to post on your page)

My situation was a bit more complicated because I was a premium user and had playlists I wanted to keep. I had to contact Spotify Help Desk and have them make a new account with a different email, change my email on facebook to reflect that update, and then follow the steps above. They then transfered all my playlists and Premium status over to my new account.

It might take a few tries but it's worth it!
