Syncing playlists with amp - local file problem

Hi there, I have an Onkyo amp that came with Spotify function.  

To use the function you had to purchase the premium spotify subscription, which I have done.  I have now been able to log on ok and see all my usual account playlists through the amp/tv.

However when I log in through my amp/tv to play anything that's a file local to my laptop, it says "file unavailable".  And there are no alternatives visible in spotify except the tribute versions, which are pants!!

Is there a way I can listen to my laptop files through my amp?  I'm not trying to share them, just listening throguh the other device.

If not, then if I took all my music off the laptop on to a hard drive so there was no music library as such, would Spotify then display the tunes as an option to add in a format I can use with my other devices?
