Unable to join Duo plan, the error says "You can't join this plan"

Unable to join Duo plan, the error says "You can't join this plan"

I upgraded to the Duo plan tonight specifically so my housemate can be on the same sub. I sent him the provided link to join, and takes him to a page that says: "You can't join this plan. We couldn't confirm that you live with the plan manager for this Premium plan. You can join someone else's plan again in 12 months. Or find another Premium plan that's right for you."

He has tried this on multiple devices, and multiple different internet connections. There's also no option anywhere to actually update his postal address. Any ideas how to fix this?

Hey there,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

You can switch between Family/Duo plans only once every 12 months. If your housemate is getting the error message you stated, it means they were previously (in the last year) part of a different plan.

This means that they can either re-join the previous plan they were on, start a Premium Individual/Student subscription or simply wait for the limitation to expire.

Hope this clears things up 🙂

I have same problem. We were on the general subscription plan, but now we've changed it.
