Upgrading to Premium

Solved!

Upgrading to Premium

I'm trying to upgrade my Spotify to premium. My account is logged in through my user and when It asks me to sign into Facebook before upgrading it redirects me back to the package page every time. Any ideas how I can get through?

I was having the same problem.  i fixed it by going to spotify's webpage, clicked on "account" after clicking on my profile pic. Then I clicked on "change payment methods or card details".  I then selected "remove payment method" and clicked "change". I then reentered my cc info and it worked.  So try removing the payment method then re-entering it.

I am having the exact same problem! Please respond!

Have you tried using another browser?

Liam

Yes I have used 2 different browsers as well as my phone browser with the same problem

Same problem here!! Trying for 3 hours now, still not to premium... This sucks 😞

Tried IE, Chrome and safari on my iphone

There is no possibility to contact Spotify by phone? Think I will try Deezer.com

Im having the same issue. wtf spotify so annoying. Im trying to get premium back and it just keeps redirecting me. ive used the different browsers. fix or im not using your crappy service anymore

oh and another thing i despise is companies that cannot be contacted by phone. what kind of crap service

I am having the same problem. I cannot upgrade to premium it keeps sending me into a loop asking me to sign in with facebook. Once I do that it send be back to the page asking me if I want to upgrade

Having the same problem. The online help was useless, just told me to look on the spotify website/forums for a solution that clearly does not exist. I updated spotfiy, tried different browsers, nothing, still stuck in the 'confirm purchase' loop. I have used spotify for over a year now and have never had a problem like this; this is just ridiculous. I really don't want to have to find a new music service but spotify isn't giving me a choice right now.

I am also have problems here, before I used PayPal and it worked fine. Then all of a sudden I get an email from spotify that the payment didn't go through.  I look at my PayPal account and see the transaction was denied. Using the card option doesn't work either. My pank account history shows that the transactions are all legit. Payment with other online merchants does work.

Hi,

I'm also having problems with my subscribtion.

I use Premium for about a year now. Since last week though I can only access the free version of Spotify (on desktop and android).

When I click on 'upgrade' it says that this option is not available in my country (Germany). When I visit my subscribtion page it says that I still have premium.

I have also no option to change my payment method, so I cannot try the offered solution. It only says that I need to concact my bank if I want to quit my subscribtion (???) I got charged the Premium fee two days ago like always, so there seems to be no payment problem on my side.

Mail support told me I should try to change my payment method (which I cant). Twitter support told me to contact mail support.

There are a lot of other people reporting the exact same problem in the last few days, like here: http://xn--allestrungen-9ib.de/stoerung/spotify

Any ideas what's wrong?

@Ben_Willems - Spotify are aware of some payment issues with SofortDauerautfrag payments over the past month. If you use that payment method, you will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to lend a hand to get you back up and running again.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

If you also post your 8-digit case number here, we can ask for it to be chased up for you.

@shultzy - Is your PayPal account linked to a valid credit/debit card (which is required for Spotify)?

Hi,

thank you, the customer service fixed it this morning. Now I can switch to credit card payment.

Thanks for your feedback.

Hi Peter, my PayPal account has US as the selected country is linked to my debit card, but every time the transaction is denied. My Spotify account is also set for US payments. I checked and there is enough money in my bank account.

Weird, if the payment is showing as failed on PayPal then it would point to an issue on PayPal or with your debit card.

It might be worth getting in touch with the Spotify payments team directly using the online contact form and see if they can shed anymore light on this for you.
