Why can’t I disable group sessions completely?

When i listen to music on a phone call I have no choice but to join a group session. I would not like to do that anymore at all. Since every time i end the session and play music again it puts me back onto a group session.

Can you let us know the exact make/model and OS of your device along with the Spotify version you use?

On another note, are you the host of the session or is it someone else's? Are you using some specific app for the phone calls you mention?

Lastly, we'd like you to sends us a video where we can see if you're forced to join a Group Session while in the phone call and what happens after you end the call and leave the session. This will help us understand better what you're seeing.

Happens to me too! Its so aggravating!!!! I tried ways but it won’t let me. Like i just want to hear the music alone while im in a facetime. I wish “groupsessions” werent a thing because its useless and annoying.

As stated above by @Julian, we'd like to gather some additional info. In this case, we'd like you to send us a video recording where we can see if you're forced to join a Group Session while on the phone call and what happens after you end the call and leave the session. This will help us understand better what you're seeing. You can attach the video in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.
 

On another note, would you mind sending us the make/model of your affected device along with the Spotify version you're currently running?

I can't stand the "Start a remote group session" screen  !!!!!!!. It comes up every time I turn on Spotify.  It won't budge .  It blocks other listening selections and won't allow me to change from my phone to my room speaker.. I don't want to listen to a music in a group. It makes me wonder why I became a "premium" member.  All I do is get frustrated.  I have tried everything to get rid of this option.  Could someone please HELP ME?
