Won't scrobble my music to last.fm from phone anymore

My iPhone Spotify app used to scrobble my music just fine.  Now all of a sudden it stopped.  I wonder if there was something in a new update.  I've reinstalled my app, but that didn't fix it.  I checked to make sure the information was right in my settings.  Everything seems fine.

Spotify will not scrobble. I have reentered my last.fm authentication details to no avail. Spotify version is for iPhone 4 on ios6.1.3 client version 0.6.1.48

I even tried putting incorrect last.fm auth details in and spotify correctly gives a last.fm auth error. When I enter correct details spotify silently accepts them but still won't scrobble.

Please fix. A music player that will not scrobble is useless to me

This is a known issue wih the most recent client, as noted in the release notes here on the iOS section. 

Hopefully it will be fixed soon!

That's good to know.  I'm just a nerd and like my music to show up in charts. I almost didn't get Spotify because it didn't keep track of number of plays per song like iTunes does.  Haha.

Would it help to keep spotify in offline mode until the next update?

The iOS client doesn't have the ability to cache listens so any plays that aren't being scrobbled immediately will be lost. Also to my knowledge the iOS application doesn't scrobble listens when in offline mode anyways.
