Yeah no.. On premium "In use somewhere else"

Solved!

Yeah no.. On premium "In use somewhere else"

FIrst of all, I live alone. I started using spotify as a replacement for simply torrenting the music and keeping it all on seperate places and i saw this as a way to do my music legally. Seems i was wrong, I cant use spotify at all untill this issue is resolved.

The problem is i have a media center pc that i use to play slow calm low-audio music throughout my apartment. I also bought spotify to use on my nexus 7. Upstairs i have another pc that i use to listen to music while working.

These all seem to collide even though spotify advertises the premium as a mobile "enabler" and 3 devices.

1. I start the stream on my media center just to lighten up the room.

2. When i go upstairs where my workarea is, I press play on a stream i have there and start working,

3. When i go downstairs for a glass of water nap etc. The stream stopped downstairs. making me have to take up my nexus 7 and remote-play the stream on my media center.

Right now i'm in a circus running around playing streams. If you cant agree to me using it personally i wont use it, There are better ways to get music i assure you.

Kind regards, Julius.

Hi, and welcome to the community!

Although Spotify allows you to have offline files on up to 3 devices; it does not allow streaming on multiple devices simultaneously. That is probably why you are experiencing issues with the stream; as you can only be streaming from one point at a time.

A workaround could be syncing your playlists offline and putting your phone in offline mode so then you can play on both deives as Spotify on your Nexus is not connected so can't broadcast that it's playing.

There is an idea simiar to this here, however it is referring to playing the same song everywhere.

Thanks for the clarification, I'm cancelling the subscription but i'l gladly come back once this becomes possible.

I would assume "Listen on all your devices" include all the functionality that i'm paying for, But anyhow take care.

Kind regards, Julli.
