Heya! This is an account I have made to be able to post this..

 

Right..

So, a few days ago I got this email from the spotify community (apperently?), but it looked fake/like spam, and its content looked unfamiliar. It said that I had requested for my account to get deleted, wich I had not. So I thought nothing of it, deleted it (the email). The next day I log into Spotify like I do everyday to listen to some music. I find that someone has made a bunch of "music" lists, and this someone had written to me, so to speak. He/she/it said that "it is unwise to have the same username as your password, especially if you got a credit card attatched to the account". and then also that it was from "someone that wants to prevent something stupid from happen". The person made lists containing these words. I changed my password immediatly.

 

After that, I go to check my billing reciepts, and ontop of that list I see that I have been billed 1188skr for a 12 month premium subscription. And I've always had the montly payment one (99skr for spotify premium). I also check my bank account, and yes - the 1188skr is gone from there too. But everything was still working, the program, the music, everything. And nothing else looked out of order, so I left it at that. Other than finding all of this REALLY wierd I didnt think about it much more. I didnt have to pay for spotify for another 12 months I thought.

Then today, while I'm at work, I open up Spotify on the mobile and start listening to music. After awhile I get kicked out and I try to log back in with my new password, without any success. I then go to the spotify homepage and try to log in there, doesnt work. I then try to reset my password, doesnt work - it sais that there is no account attatched to that username and email. Then eventually I get a message saying that the account is disabled. Now I'm really annoyed.. I (well not me personally) just payed 1188skr for 12 months of spotify premium, the money is even gone from my account, and then the account gets disabled? Whats going on here...?

My username for this account is marvel12, and my email for the account is ********@****.*****

 

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this since I really want to have it resolved as soon as possible, I miss my music. Wierd thing though, I can access the account from my computer, but I can only play the lists I have synced offline so to speak. Also ontop of the spotify screen it sais "The username or password is incorrect. Please check that your user details are correct; log out and log in to Spotify again. (error code: 410)".  So yea this is all very confusing and I have no idea what I should do about it. It doesnt work at all on my iphone anymore either..

I understand our payments team are looking into this at the moment. You should hear back shortly. They're really nice, they'll get it sorted.
