My Question or Issue

hello, every morning when I open Spotify I have music add in liked music, but not by me. I said to myself I have someone who is connected to my account. I was in setting disconnect from everywhere, I changed my password. I reconnected. I received a notification of my connection. this morning i got some music liked again but not by me. I didn't get any connection notification. I enabled sign-in through google but I have two-factor authentication and checked the devices where I'm signed in. I really don't understand how this music adds up. and especially how to stop. Spotify started making me playlists of this style that I hate. I have family premium but even in my family nobody likes this kind of music.

Thanks

Hey @0ceanex, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

I’m sorry to hear about this! In this case, I’d recommend checking out this support article for the next steps to take.

To prevent this from happening in the future, there are many measures you can take to protect your account, such as resetting your password every few months, and not using passwords you have used on other sites. There is also a great guide here for some more measures on protecting your account.

If you see an email from Spotify, and can’t tell if it’s legit, use this checklist. Of course, Spotify makes sure that all user records and platforms are completely secure around the clock.

I hope this helps.

Hello, I change it every day, log out everywhere everyday and after 1 week I was ok. thanks 🙂

I always use complex passwords (only for this application ), using special characters, no words, numbers. so I really have no idea how they found out and why I didn't get a notification when he connected. If the person wouldn't have started liking bad tunes I would never have known.
wish that the 2fa will be soon for spotify

thanks for taking time to answer me

Hey @0ceanex,

Thanks for getting back to me. For now, the steps above are the best way to secure and protect your account. I would also recommend adding your vote and support to this Live Idea that Spotify is currently considering.

Let me know if you need a hand with anything else in the meantime! Have a great day.
