cannot set up a new email

Solved!

cannot set up a new email

I set up my account through Facebook, so I never had a password to change. I've tried resetting it, but I never got the email, even though I've tried multiple times. I use Yahoo for my email, so I think that might be the problem. How can I set a password now?

I finally managed to sort it out. Turns out you can remove the email and password options and set them up again, and that did the trick for me.

Hey @schiras,

Thanks for reaching out.

Please check your email's junk/spam folder as the email(s) from Spotify might have landed there 🙂

If you can't find any, please try requesting another password reset, but this time through a different browser and/or a different device.

This FAQ article also explains the whole process pretty well: https://community.spotify.com/t5/FAQs/Can-I-login-using-email-and-password-if-I-signed-up-with/ta-p/....

Let me know how it goes!

Hi Maxim,

Thank you for your prompt response. I've tried everything possible to receive an email from Spotify to update my email address. Unfortunately, I haven't received any email, not even in my spam folder.

Also, when I tried using the set password link, I ran into this error. I’ve attached a screenshot for reference.

I just realized there’s a typo in my email, which is strange because Spotify should have pulled my email from my Facebook account. Any idea how to report this issue?
