My Question or Issue

I've attempted to change my country twice since I move to the Netherlands. A few months ago I migrated back to my home country from Belgium and wanted to update my country so I can finally join the family Spotify because I moved back in. About 2 or 3 weeks ago I noticed I couldn't join because I was registered in Belgium. I updated my payment method to my new PayPal, since my old one no longer has a bank connected to it since I have moved (I am no longer registered in Belgium so I cannot keep the account). So I updated my payment method and paid one cent to Spotify to update my country. After that I tried joining my family again, but it still said I am in the wrong county (even though I have not been there for months). I check back on my account an see that I still am registered to Belgium. I though to myself maybe it takes a while for the databases to update the actual account and processing the payment.

So I waited until today. I tried again to join my families Spotify but I am still in the wrong country. So I updated my payment method (registered to a Dutch PayPal account still, even though my country was Belgium) to an ideal payment method. My thinking here was that it is exclusive to the Netherlands so it will update my country finally. Once again I paid 0,01 cent via my bank account in the Netherlands, all via my own ip address in the Netherlands. Still my country is Belgium, please help/fix before they somehow charge my non existing bank account in Belgium on the 23rd of August.

P.S. another bug I have encountered on this community site: I couldn't make a post on my computer. The page kept refreshing and never loaded. I could see all forum posts on all different topics, but couldn't create one so I'm writing this on my phone. This was true for all topics I tried to post this on.

I have windows 11 and use Firefox.

Thanks for coming to the Community. 

 

If your payment method was updated successfully, it should show the new one here.

 

If it does, then the changes will take effect from your next billing date, meaning that your country setting won't be updated until then.

 

If you're planning on joining a Premium Family plan, I recommend cancelling your current subscription and waiting for it to end. Once it has ended, simply update your country setting as instructed here and then you'll be able to accept the invite.

P.S.: If you continue experiencing issues with accessing the Community on desktop, try using a different browser or an incognito/private browser window.
