devices connecting issue

devices connecting issue

So the song I play on my phone doesn't show playing on my desktop app, also when I play on web player everything works fine, my phone or any device shows in connect to other devices options but not on the Spotify desktop app, this have been bugging me since some days, earlier I thought it must be something to do with my app update so i installed the newest version but its still the same, it doesn't show any other devices to connect as my phone or anything, also doesn't share the playing activity as status on any other app either.

Hello @ramya01!

 

I recommend making sure the account in your Desktop app is the same as the account in your other devices. You can check if you have any additional accounts here. If you're indeed logged into the same account, I'd recommend following these troubleshooting steps to see if it does the trick:

  • Restart the Spotify app
  • Close any other apps you’re not using
  • Restart your devices
  • Restart your WiFi
  • If possible, try a different WiFi connection
