My Question or Issue

I just reset my password by forgot my password option. And then when I logged in with new password I see somebody else's profile information, name and picture. But playlists are mine. but creator of those playlists also changed to that person's name.

My username, my email address, my password, but another person's profile information.

I followed the steps here: https://support.spotify.com/uk/article/hacked-account-help/ but problem continues. And how the heck something like that even possible? It is so strange. I need help to understand and solve this.

My name is Ata, but in profile I see the name 'Ece' and her picture.

Hey @atagunduzalp, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

I’m sorry to hear about this! In this case, I’d recommend checking out this support article for the next steps to take. Since you have already followed most of these steps, under the "Lost anything?" section, there is an option to get in touch with Customer Support. They will take a closer look for you and ensure that your account is secured.

To prevent this from happening in the future, there are many measures you can take to protect your account, such as resetting your password every few months, and not using passwords you have used on other sites. There is also a great guide here for some more measures on protecting your account.

If you see an email from Spotify, and can’t tell if it’s legit, use this checklist. Of course, Spotify makes sure that all user records and platforms are completely secure around the clock.

I hope this helps.
