Have you tried navigating to m.spotify.com ? There should be a direct download available there.
thanks for that i was told that any music i got from spotify i could put onto my ipod, is this not the case?
Spotify music is encoded. Only Spotify application can read those files. And Spotify only available to selected devices like Linux, Mac, Windows, Android, Windows Phone, iOS, iPod Touch etc. But you can transfer to iPod your Local files without any problems.
You also can listen music in Spotify software as much as you want. For month fee you can not download all tracks you want, you only can stream those tracks. It's all about how Spotify is licensed with record labels.
yes i have transferred my local files with no problem but i wanted to add new music to my ipod through spotify, and from what your saying i carnt do that, i also carnt add the music to my mobile either as i have a blackberry torch, this seems like a very frustratin music application

i've just bought a samsung galaxy y and 30 day trial of spotify premium, but for some reason, my phone's only uploading random percentages of the various playlists i have saved there (31%, 7% etc). the wireless connection seems to be good, i have 16gb memory space and nothing else occupying it. it'd be wicked if you could give me a bit of advice. thank you so much!
