Hi, im new to music download apps. Ive downloaded spotify and i think i subscibed to the premium, i assume i have a free trial? But after this will i start to be charged or will i revert back to the free version? It didnt ask me for any card details, but wasnt sure if it goes onto my mobile bill like itunes does?
Thanks

If you haven't entered any billing details, your account will simply revert to free once your trial ends. You need to manually set up mobile billing (if available to you) and it takes a bit of effort to do, so you would know if you had done it. 😉

Ok, thanks. How long is the free trial for? I assume i have the premium as i can play individual songs? Am i right in saying this option isnt available on the free version? If not, is the free spotify not ideal to listen to the songs of your choice? Just wasnt sure of the difference between the free and premium version? Apologies if i ask any stupid questions, very new to this music world.

Spotify free premium trials (without payment details) are normally 48 hours or 7 days, depending on your sign up method and application used. You can check when your Premium will expire at any time on your online overview:
https://www.spotify.com/account/overview/

The features that you can use on Spotify free do change depending on what device you are using, I've put together a table comparing them all here:

There are no stupid questions, if that doesn't answer all then ask away! 🙂

Thats very helpful, thank you.

Can i just clarify a couple of things please... what exactly is the shuffle mode only? Is this a shuffle of songs ive downloaded or other songs mixed in as well? Was struggling to understand the benefit of free spotify if i cant listen to a certain song when i want? But yet spotify seems the most popular, so i assume there must be benefits?

Also if i download song for offline version during my free trial, will this stay like thisnafter the trial or will it revert back to online only?

Thanks in advance

Also

Shuffle mode will allow you to listen to your own playlists or artist catalogs in shuffle mode only, so you can't choose what track you want to listen to in an "on-demand" kind of way. Also, due to restrictions on Spotify free, you may get suggested tracks added into your listening if there is no enough diversity on the playlist you are listening too (so you can't listen to a playlist with just an album on it).

Offline mode is a premium feature, so if your premium expires at any point, those offline tracks will be removed from your device.

Im with you now. So basically, if i want an app to download free music to listen to tracks when u want, without paying for spotify premium, it may not be the right app for me?

Correct, without paying on your mobile phone you will only have the shuffle mode.
