"You need to live at the same address."

"You need to live at the same address."

I am trying to add a family member to our Premium Family plan but I keep getting a message saying "You need to live at the same address. It looks like you're trying to join Premium Family from a different country. Premium Family is only available to family members that live together. Try again when you're at the same address."

We are currently in the UK but the Premium Family account is a US account. We are US citizens living in the UK temporarily. I am paid in US dollars and have a US bank account and, therefore, can't change my account to a UK account.

Is there any way to rectify this without waiting until the next time we are in the US to add the family member to the account?

Thanks.

Hey @wesklaus ,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

Since your account's country setting is set to the US, only accounts from the US can join the plan.

To solve this issue, you'll need to update your payment method to one that's been issued in the UK. This will update country setting on your next billing date 🙂

Hope this clears things up.

Thanks for the reply, Maxim. I realize I didn't state it in the original post but the account we are attempting to add to the family plan is a US account. We are just not physically in the US at the moment. When you say "only accounts from the US can join the plan" do you mean that the device has to be physically inside the US when we attempt to add the account to the plan?

I don't have a UK payment method so that's not an option in this case.

Hey @wesklaus ,

Thanks for getting back.

Yeah, the account's country setting must be set to the US (which it is, as you mentioned) and you have to actually be in the US to be able to accept the invite.

Hope this clears things up 🙂
