Im having problems with spotify on my smartphone.. It glitches and is generally very slow, especially when I use the search. What should I do? I have a fast working internet-connection, and I have tried turning the app of.

Could you try doing a full reinstallation of the app, including removing your local cache/data files.

Great question. No you won't. Your playlists are stored on the servers of Spotify. When you have offline playlists, then you need to resync them again by pressing the "Available Offline" toggle. If you have local files, then you need to resync them from your pc.
