spotify send emails using a language i don't speak !

spotify send emails using a language i don't speak !

hello,
when spotify comunicate with me through mails or messages, i can't understand the message because it is written using a language that i don't speak. specifically: i live in belgium, spotify sends email using dutch, i don't speak dutch at all.
how can i change the language they use to communicate with me ?

It’s not currently possible to manually select the language of Spotify’s communications, but I recommend checking that the language in your Spotify app is set to your preferred one. Make sure the same language is set on all devices where you use Spotify. You can follow these steps to adjust the app language.

 

After making these changes, keep an eye on your future email notifications to see if you notice any difference. Hopefully, this will help adjust the language of some communications. However, certain emails might still appear in Dutch, depending on your account settings or because your account is registered in Belgium.

my spotify app has been using english since the day i created my spotify account, some 15 years ago... when using the web based spotify, it defaults to dutch every single time. missing a real "language" setting at the account level is particularly wrong: imagine moving to some exotic country with a weird language, and not being able to understand you spotify account because some lazy ass just don't want to implement such a basic feature !

at the beginning, mails and communication were half french, half dutch. i phoned the support (once upon a time, there was a support line) to ask for all french or all english communication, since then communication is all dutch. for your information: this apparently "simple" drawback makes me question my subscription very regularly.

If adjusting the language settings didn’t resolve the issue, I’d suggest reaching out to Spotify Support. They can take a closer look behind the scenes and provide more details.
