what the heck is up with the follow feature?

what the heck is up with the follow feature? I HATE it. I have no control over who follows me.... I don't want any followers in the first place. I would prefer if you stopped trying to force my to use the service in a social way. I can discover the music I want to listen to on my own and I'm so sick of spotify trying to decide what I want to listen to or who I should follow. just stop please. The new update is slow as molasses and is just plain stupid. I don't want to follow bands ... they have worse taste than my friends.

Hi,

If you make all your playlists private (right click on each one, make private), then no one will see your playlists.

If you go to Edit>preferences, then untick all the boxes in the activity sharing category,  then no one will be able to see what you are listening to either.

If you have a way to implement this, feel free to submit it to the ideas section of the community!
