Adding songs to current queue doesn't play on controlled device.

i have an android pad that i connect to my stereo via the headphone jack.  i start the music then go into a different room and control with my android phone.  if i change playlists, the music changes as expected.

However, when I want to insert a song into the current queue, the song is added to the queue, but does not get played as expected.  The song shows in the queue of the controlling device, but when the current song ends, the newly added songs in the play queue are skipped until it gets to the next song that is in the playlist that was originally selected.

This queuing works when using the same device to control and play.  I also tried controlling a PC from my phone, but it skipped the added song.

How do I get the queue feature to work when controlling another device?
