All music is muted when transferred to SD card

Hello,

I have to transfer my music from my phone USB to my SD card. The reason being is because there is no way on my phone I can set up Spotify to sync straight to my SD card, it's so annoying.

As I do not have all the space on my USB card, I have to transfer my files staggered i.e. download songs until the SD card gets full then transfer it to the SD card and then repeat. 

When I do that, all my songs are muted and whenever I try to attempt to play forward the song so it plays in the middle of the track, it starts all over again.

Ideally what I would like is to have all my songs being able to be downloaded to my SD card, but there is no options to be able to select that in Settings.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

My phone is:

Samsung Galaxy Ace, Android.
