All my downloaded playlists disappeared?

All my downloaded playlists disappeared?

So I finally got through the arseache of downloading the old spotify so I could sync playlists to my sd card and left my phone downloading all night, it was still going this morning, and then the phone ran out of battery. I switched it back on, logged back into spotify, but they were all gone... all of the 50 or so playlists I'd selected to download (half of which had) just aren't in the downloaded bit any more.

I've checked the storage part in settings, and 10gb of my SD card space has been used up - I know these are the tunes I downloaded throughout the course of last night, but how the **bleep** do I get the app to acknowledge them? I don't want to re-download them all if I can avoid it...

Hi, if you have downloaded them, mark the playlists for offline use and it shouldn't redownload the lists - just use the tracks already downloaded 🙂

Liam

It is redownloading them though, it cant find the one's its already downloaded, but they are definitely there

I know this was posted a month ago but dont see any answer to the question. This morning I had 50+ downloaded playlists, this afternoon there is nothing downloaded on my spotify account anymore. I have to redownloaded a 1 year worth of music all over again. Is this something that normally happens?? If it is than Im going to have to cxl my spotify account, it takes to long to redownload that amount of music ALL OVER again, and that is not fair when you are paying money for proper services.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

This was a bug in the android client which has been resolved in the most recent release. Try a clean reinstallation of the application making sure you are using the most recently client update from Google Play.

If this post was helpful, please add kudos below!

I had over 1700 tracks on my Android and thanks to the lack of testing by Spotify I now have to download them all again. If this happens again I will have no alternative to cancel my subscriptiuon as it will be clear to me that Spotify is unreliable.

Before you lose any further SUBSCRIBERS learn how to apply proper testing processes BEFORE you release buggy software!

The same happened to me!

I re installed spotify as suggested in a post above.

But I can see only the playlists, which are in my account but there are not offline available on my phone.

I have to redownload them all again....and this is not hte first time.
Very anoying. Please check.

Hi,  This has heppened to me this week. I installed the new version of the Android App. It worked fine for a few days then all my downloaded playlists have disappeared except one album. When I download more they do not appear either even though they are supposedly successfully downloaded.

i had this also

i downloaded all songs 728

and after restart app its saying 128 dowloads to

go

altho i has already downloaded those and its doing that over and over

That's interesting robindb,  I'm a bit stumped as to how to get them back. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app but the same behaviour is existing.

Are you guys using external SD cards? If so, could you see if the problem continues if the spotify cache is stored internally instead -

  • Remove cache from spotify settings
  • Remove external SD card
  • Make a playlist available offline
  • Reinsert external SD card

15 gigs of downloaded music got the deleted, and huge and ugly, and annoying button added. Thanks guys.

Don't suppose anyone's using a cache cleaner are they? Especially ones with automated schedules/real-time scanning such as Clean Master?

This is known to cause issues, so if you have one installed suggest you check what's being cleared when manually triggering a sweep. Alos recommend turning off any automatic scans/schedules.

I've just found the same problem. All of my playlists and albums are no longer downloaded and I have to start again ... Let's not mention the amount of data and cost that will involve. Massively pi**ed off!!!

I have the same problem too. I am going on holiday to the Sahara next week so I doubt I can re-download them there. The app overall is glitchy. I find that when switiching from playlists the music pauses or stutters and the playlists load for ages even though they are downloaded. For me the app was fine until Sporify released the new Spotify Music app as songs only stay downloaded for a few days. I hav ehad this problem for a while and I have traced it down to adding a new song. For me, when I add a new song it causes all of my existing songs to "undownload". What I find the most annoying is the fact that I can redownload 300+ in a couple of seconds which tells me that they are still downloaded...

This is so annoying as I got premium for the sole reason of having it offline on my phone.
