Android App "select music" from local device takes forever to load

So I loved the feature on my android app to import local files directly from my phone's files without the need to use the desktop app. But for a few weeks now, the "select music" page loads forever. Once I let it load for over 30 minutes and still nothing happened. 

I tried logging out and back in and clearing the cache.

Most common issues can be fixed with a quick reinstall of the app. In some situations however, a clean (more thorough) reinstall of the app might be needed. This way you can start afresh with Spotify on your mobile device.
