Android Auto NOT showing Spotify as music option

So I used to have the Samsung Galaxy S7 and when I plugged it into my GMC Canyon 2017, it would start Android Auto and I was able to see music options other than just Google Music, such as Spotify and Audible. Well I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S8+, and now the Android Auto app only shows Google Music, it doesn't even allow the option of playing Spotify (nor Audible). Has anyone had this issue?

I have a very similar problem.

I bad AA and Spotify working fine on my galaxy S7.

After an update of some apps it completely broke down.

Spotify is no longer visible under AA.

After searching for a solution for some time it seems to be an issue of the Spotify app. If Spotify will not solve this soon I will cancel my premium account.

After a SW update for the S7 spotify is now recognized again by AA.

But now spotify doesn't allow me to select albums from my collection.
