My Question or Issue

Spotify is usually connected in my car via Bluetooth to my Soundsystem. When playing, Spotify shows correctly the name of my car in the bar at the bottom.

Recently I installed an Android Auto Screen (Carpodgo) which only acts as an AA display client, the audio is still streamed directly to my car.

Everything works fine.

Except Spotify. Spotify identifies correctly an AA connection and shows android auto as a device in the bottom playing bar. BUT the sound is no longer transmitted via the established BT connection to my car, instead the music comes out of our smartphone speakers.

Other music apps or Google Maps on AA work fine and stream audio to the car.

But Spotify doesn't. The controlling of the AA Spotify App works fine.

Is there a setting I am not aware of?

Thank you!

Hi there @mattisvensson,

Thanks for reaching out! Bear with me as I'm not familiar with the Carpodgo, but I'll try my best to help.

Could you check if you'd be able to switch the audio playback to your car's Bluetooth (instead of Android Auto) from the Spotify Connect menu on your phone? You'll find the option in the bottom-left corner of the Now Playing View.

Something else that's worth trying is re-pairing your phone with the car's Bluetooth to see if that does the trick. Also, make sure you've selected your car as the audio output device from your phone's settings.

Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes 👍
