[Android][Samsung TV] Connect not working until manually login on Samsung app

Hi all,

 

Our Samsung TV does not appear in list of available playback devices until I manually login to the Samsung Spotify app.

 

I assumed that one of the goals of Spotify Connect is that you can login to the playback device using another already loggedin device such as your phone? The instructions on the Samsung TV app also seem to explain that, manually login using username and password or use Spotify Connect. It defeats the purpose if I have to login manually first. The worst thing is that I have to do it each time again I startup the Samsung TV Spotify app.


Would this be a bug or is this the as-is behavoir?

I have the exact same situation. An answer could be wonderful.

I have the same problem here, though it was working properly few days ago. I dont know if it was whether an application update or something like that.
