Android Spotify Problems After Installing Amazon Echo Alexa App

Android Spotify Problems After Installing Amazon Echo Alexa App

Since connecting my account to Amazon Echo ... my Spotify app on my Android device no longer works - for my account specifically

I have a family account and initially setup Amazon Echo using my main (Ian) Spotify account successfully.

BUT because my mobile app got interrupted when my family used Echo at home - I created a new family member (Alexa) to be used on Amazon Echo.

I successfully setup the Echo to use the new account using the Alexa app on my android phone.

The problem is when I now go back to use spotify with my main (Ian) account on my phone - the app crashes EVERY time I re-enter my login name. I have re-installed, re-booted, cleared memory etc.

BUT if I login using my Alexa family login - it works fine.

Obviously this is not what I want as all my playlists are on my main (Ian) account

I have also tried removing app permission from my Ian account to Alexa.

So I even reset my phone to factory and re-installed Spotify ... still the same problem!

Spotify support can only suggest I setup a new account and transfer everything across.
