My Question or Issue

My Spotify keep crashing after few days of using it and after crashing its name changes to Event or com.spotify. Clearing cache or clear data wont fix it  i need to reinstall app again and again after 2-3 day of using it. Why is this happening.

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to help you get Spotify working as expected again.

 

Firstly, we'd like to preface that since you said you use a modded operating system, this could have something to do with it. While it shouldn't be an issue, these types of things alter the behaviour of the Android OS in various ways that can impact Spotify's functionality and ultimately we can only support the official Android versions as specified here. To rule this possibility out, consider testing on a different, unmodded Android phone for a few days and see if the same happens there. If it doesn't, then something related to crdroid could be the reason.

 

Beyond that though, a likely reason for something like this would be that the cache and/or data of the app gets corrupted over time by something. This would also explain why it takes a few days to happen. Usually some kind of cache clearing or data optimization app can be the root cause. Battery saver and optimizer apps can also have a similar effect. We recommend looking through your device for such apps and settings and either disabling them or adding Spotify as an exception.
