I had this issue twice now. Whenever I play a song on Spotify mobile, it crashes immediately after. The first time a clean reinstall seemed to work after removing the cache failed. Now I've had even more difficulty in trying to get the app to work. I tried everything, a clean reinstall, logging in and out, formatting and replacing my SD card and not mounting it and installing Spotify in the internal storage. Aside from a factory reset which I'm not really inclined to do, I don't have any solutions for this.

Hi there folks,
Thank you for your posts her in the Community. Let's take a closer look into this.
There was actually an ongoing issue about this. However, it should be fixed now.
@Rhandle - can you make sure that you've updated to the latest version?
@enji06 - to start with, can you perform a clean reinstall of the app as this will make sure there's no old cache files causing this?
We'll be on the lookout for your replies.
Take care 🙂
only started today, yesterday was still ok.

Yes, the app is on the latest version (v 8.7.36.905) and it wasn't working.
That was, until one of the users in the thread you linked talked about the NANO widget briefly and removing it fixes the problem in a roundabout way. It looks like the preinstalled music player for Vivo phones was causing this when the widget is put in the home screen, though I've only removed it now. I'll be sure to reply if the issue arises again.
Many thanks!

Thanks you so much ! Removing the Vivo music widget on my phone resolved the problem. So strange.
Have a great day !
mine is still the same, phone model : vivo x70pro, no vivo widget installed, reinstalled spotify and still the same.
Hey there @enji06,
Thanks for the post. Can you try disabling any type of Battery Saver mode that you might have enabled globally or for the Spotify app specifically?
@Hugoocau, glad to hear that worked out for you 🙂
Cheers.
the last update to version 8.7.36.923 has solved my issue
