[Android TV] I can't log in on Android TV client for weeks, Connect isn't working either

My Question or Issue

I can't log in on Android TV client for several days. Nothing works: when pairing by phone code screen reloads without code, login with username/password returns "Something went wrong" message, and connect request from the phone simply hangs.

I deleted data/cache and reinstalled app with the same result. What gives? Is spotify messing with my account or something?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

 

In this case we suggest that you check if the Spotify version and device firmware are up to date.

 

If that doesn't do the trick, can you restart your router to see if the issue persist?

The versions of all apps are most recent, it's not it, because my girlfriend was able to log in on the same app instance. I'm guessing Spotify was messing with my account by blocking authentication from anything other than mainline clients. Anyway, the problem fixed itself and it only took 2 months. I've been paying for premium for 7+ years, and they do this shite...
