Android Transition just skips the end of the song

Solved!

Android Transition just skips the end of the song

Hello,

I noticed transitions are broken on my phone, reinstalling didnt help.

It used to be that between two songs there is a fade out and in.

However currently once the transition time is reached like 12s oder less it just skips the end and just plays the next song

App Version

8.8.68.565

Plan

Premium

Country

  • Germany

Device

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Operating System

Android 13

At that time there was no update available  in the play store and the update that came a few days later didnt fix the problem. However 2 or 3 updates later the problem was fixed

Hey @Timo__,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

If I get things right, no matter what duration of the Crossfade function you choose - it's not working as expected and your songs just get skipped instead of having a smooth transition. This is certainly an unexpected behavior, but it might be related to your current device setup. To check this you can try log in a different device and see if the option works as expected there. Also I realize you've already reinstalled the app, but I can suggest you to try this guide here, where there are few extra steps that ensure a so called 'clean start' for your new installation and removes possible cached files that can be interfering with the normal work of the app. Give it a shot and see if things change.

The other thing I've noticed is that you're rocking with a slightly outdated version of the app and currently there is a newer version, so I strongly advise you to get the latest one and do the reinstall as prescribed above. See if this will make any difference.

Hope something here helps to resolve things for you. Keep us posted 🙂
