My Question or Issue

When starting streaming from my Android to my TV with Chromecast Spotify always is having a break after a few minutes. Tipping play again everthing is fine and there´s no further break occuring in this "session". It´s no great thing but a little bit annoying. Thanks for a solution or workaround.

Hey @MarcatSpot,

Thanks for reaching out to us 🙂

We'd suggest you restart the devices. It's also important that the firmware and the app are up-to-date.

Does the issue occur with another account? That way we can check if it's an account-related issue.

You can also send us a video recording of what you're seeing. We'll investigate this further.

Keep us in the loop! If you have questions, we are here for you.

Thanks Ver,

I´m sure all devices and software are up to date. Maybe the right word
is not "break" but "pause" like it is in german (have a look at the
attached screenshot). I reproduced the little problem again after
restarting the devices. I don´t know anyone having spotify and a
chromecast for tv like me. Maybe it´s really an account related problem?

Have a great week

Markus

Hey @MarcatSpot,

Thanks for getting back to us 🙂

We checked but couldn't find an attached screenshot. Could you try again sending one?

In this case it's also a good idea to try with another account. You can head here to create one. That way we can check if it's a device-related issue. Are there any changes?

You can also try connecting another device to your TV. Does the issue persist?

Let us know how it goes. If you have questions, you know where to find us.

Now Screenshot as a PDF maybe your firewall blocked the jpg. The effect
of the "Bug" is just like I would press pause in the App to stop the
musik but I don´t. It just happens.

I´will get back to you if I have tried another account. I´t should be
not device related in general. My TV App works great and I´m trying my
standard music player now.

The little Problem is now a little little Problem. The effect occures now not frequently after a few minutes but sporadically and not every time I start hearing. Maybe there was an automatic update of my Chromecast II or the Spotify App I didn't recognised ... or ... it also maybe a wireless lan related problem? Whatever the effect is so rare that this is not longer annoying me :). Thanks a lot for your support and happy holidays.

Hey @MarcatSpot,

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

We're happy to hear that the issue seems to disappear. Both Spotify and Google constantly introduce bugfixes and improvements, so it's a goo idea to always keep your apps up to date. It's also possible that the app files get corrupted and causing such connectivity issues. An easy solution to both is to perform a clean reinstall. You can learn how to do this for Spotify in this guide.

If the issue seems to come up again, don't hesitate to reach out. We'll be glad to help you further 🙂

Happy Holidays!
