My Question or Issue

My wife and I have started having an issue with SPotify where, unless we close the app completely, playback will often start after ending a phone call. Both phone and app are up to date.

First up, could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, please try a quick clean reinstallation of the app by following these steps.

I am also having the problem of Spotify starting playback after the end of a phone call. Specifically, I have previously paused Spotify after a listening session. If a phone call is received and I have not closed the Spotify app, Spotify begins playing at the end of the phone call. If I press the PAUSE button, playback does pause.

Do you have a solution for this problem?

I am running Android 8.1.0 on a Nexus 6P, and the Spotify version is 8.4.90.722.

I have restarted my device, and uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify, but the problem symptoms have not changed.
