Android marshmallow and sound quality

Solved!

Android marshmallow and sound quality

Hi, recently I update to preview 3 of Android on my nexus 5.
After download all my Playlist the sound has a lot of noise like clips, or interference like old modem dial.

For me shutting out the surround Sound in EQ helped getting rid of the stuttering. But that can't be the end of the story 😄

Update please!

Is marshmallow using nuplayer in Developer Settings? If so disable it.

Hi, thanks for your time.

En developer settings don't have the opcion to change the default player in marshmallow

As marshmallow is still in preview mode it won't be fully supported and it's hard to troubleshoot as I don't have a device to load the preview on to test. All I can say is that hopefully the devs are working on Marshmallow support for an update soon.

I've updated my nexus 5 yesterday to android 6 (public release) and have the same problem with sound in spotify.

My Nexus 9 updated to 6.0 Marshmallow yesterday and I'm experiencing the same problem. It's getting annoying. It seems that it only happens when the tablet is in portrait view, as I haven't experienced this in landscape yet, which is weird.

Same problem here. Glitches and clipping since I installed Android Marshmallow on my Nexus 5

Glad to see, that I am not the only one who got this Problem.
No problems in Play Music with the Sound, so no HW failure. (Nexus 5)

It is just annoying to hear the Music stuttering.

Same here, Nexus 5, Marshmallow and horrible noises..

Same issue following public release ot Android 6.0, on Nexus 5

Same problem here. I adjusted the equalizer and it helped a little bit.

Same issue. Using landscape mode, as it was mentioned earlier, helps a bit.

Nexus 5 here and same problem since I upgraded to Marshmallow. App reinstall and clear cache won't help. Happens with both local files and streaming feeds. Equilizer on or off.

This is happening to me also - Nexus 5 with Marshmallow running.

Seems to be something to with the screen being locked or phone in sleep mode.

Im on premium so please resolve this s my 1 hr per commute is going to result in my going insane.

Having the same problem on my nexus 5.

The sound quality from other apps such as googles play music works fine from what I have tested.

Seems that turning off the equalizer worked for me to.

Not a fix by any means, but I found that turning off the equaliser help in
my case, nexus 5.

I read elsewhere that turning off the surround sound works and I tried it and it did.
So far anyway.
Real test will be in the morning going to work using the 4g connection.
