Android notification text colour is same colour as background

Android notification text colour is same colour as background

The Android notification showing the currently playing song is unreadable as the text colour is the same colour as the background. I'll try and upload a picture.

My device is a Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite

Hey there @burgerfish,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for sending this screenshot.

So we can investigate further, could you let us know if this happens with other songs/content too or just with this particular track?

Additionally, are you using some sort of a theme or a launcher on your phone?

Hope to hear from you soon 🙂

Hi, thanks for the response.

How bad it is varies between tracks. Here's another bad one:

And here's one that isn't as bad:

I am not using any custom themes or launchers, and no other settings seem to affect it (it's the same if I set my phone to light mode).

I'd be happy to share any other information if useful. Thanks!

Hey @burgerfish,

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, this turns out to be a known issue with Xiaomi phones running the MIUI ROM as evident from these Reddit threads (here, here and here). I'm lucky enough to have the below version of the lockscreen widget and I absolutely understand why you'd find yours inconvenient to use.

Given this info, I'd recommend getting in touch with Xiaomi support and asking if there's any setting you can adjust on your device to get the same (or a similar) result.

I hope you'll be able to get this resolved and if you do, please share your solution here to help others facing the same issue.

Cheers,
