Any Artist and Album page does not load

Solved!

Any Artist and Album page does not load

Plan

Premium

Country

Germany

Device

Asus ZenFone 7

Operating System

Android 10

Spotify Version

8.5.82.894

So, for a week now I can not access any Artist or Album pages. It only shows me either "Check your Internet connection and try again" or "Something went wrong".

The Internet connection is fine. I've checked it with different locations and on my PC Spotify works fine. Just on my mobile phone I can practically do nothing.

I've also done the usual stuff like reinstalling, clear Cache and so on. But it still does not work. Why? Any help is welcome to solve this issue.

Hey @Drago508,

Thank you for your reply and conformation.

Do you have an SD card? If so - can you uninstall the app with the steps that's provided in the clean reinstall article? After that - switch of your phone > take out your SD card > start your phone again without the SD card > reinstall the app.

Also - does this occur on Wi-Fi, mobile data or both?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply 🙂

Cheers!

Hey there @Drago508,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Just so we're on the same page, can you confirm to us that you've performed a clean reinstallation of the app like it is described in this article?

Also could you check if you've allowed the app all permissions necessary and that no battery optimization is affecting it.

You can check like this:

1. Mobile Settings> Apps> Spotify> Permissions. Allow everything you see there.

2. Mobile settings> Apps> Spotify> Battery> Optimize battery usage> select top All > Spotify> disable.

3. Last step - restart the phoneNote: Menu order may differ depending on the device.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Hey,

thank you for your reply!

Sadly, it still does not work. I've tried a clean reinstall again as described in the article and checked if all permissions is given and that no power optimization is on.

I can not explain why it is not working especially on my device.

Hey,

it happens both in Wifi and mobile data.

But after I again cleared everything and put, as you said, the SD-Card out, it magically works! With the SD-Card out I can now finally access the artist and album pages again.

Thank you very much for your help!
