App automatically turns on

App automatically turns on

Anytime I plug in my headphones or get into my car, the Spotify app automatically turns on. I do not wish to have this feature and want to shut it off. How do I do so?

Currently using a Samsung Galaxy Edge 7 with the most current OS. I have tried deleting my apps cache, phone cache, reinstalling the app multiple times. I would turn off notifications from this app, but it is still running in the background and it prevents me from using the music controls on the lock screen. I have no custom launchers installed that might be causing this to happen.

Hey @Xomas, welcome!

We'll do our best to help you out.

What you're describing could be an Android feature that launches your music app when your headphones are plugged in.

Try looking in your Android Settings > Applications > Application Manager > More > Change System Settings and toggle the Music App off.

Let us know how it goes.
