My Question or Issue

Spotify App kept freezing and crashing yesterday, even freezing the whole phone sometimes. Followed the instructions woth clearing cache etc. and reinstalling, but it didn't really work. Spotify App is starting but everything is very, very slow. Takes about 5-10 seconds after clicking something fot the app to reply (next song for example). And then images not loading, lists not appearing until it eventually freezes again.

We'd recommend you try disabling any battery optimization and power saver software on your phone. Follow these steps:

 

1. Mobile Settings> Apps> Spotify> Permissions. Allow everything you see there.

2. Mobile Settings> Apps> Spotify> Battery> Optimize battery usage> select top All (not optimized for apps)> Spotify> disable.

3. Last step - restart the phone.

 

Note: Menu order may vary on different devices.

 

Apart from this make sure your phone has enough available storage (At least 1 GB).
