Got a Huawei mate 9 pro and i get the message above. How can i download spotify on this phone?

That's odd. In this case, can you try restarting your phone? Then, download Spotify through your app store. Also, make sure you're on a stable WiFi connection.

If nothing works, could you send us a screenshot of the error message you're getting and the exact steps you're following to download the app?

It did not work. I thought it might be because I was awaiting a new sim for my phone. But it does not work with a new sim or the suggestions you came with.

The picture says (the text in green) "This purchase is not avaliable in your country".

Obvious question (I apologise) but which country are you in?

That's bizarre. Does the same thing happen if you try to add spotifyin Play using a browser on a PC? If not, it sounds like Google thinks you are in a country where spotify is unavailable. If you get in touch with their support, they should be able to help.
