App repeatedly deleting downloaded music

Third time in as many months.  Yes I have done a clean reinstall, twice.  Yes I have correctly assigned my SD card as the caching device, ensuring that it is wiped beforehand.  No I do not use automated maintenance software.

 

Probably just gonna buy a beefy SD and load it up with music the old-fashioned way since your app hasn't worked consistently for over three years.

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.

 

Just to confirm, have you tried without an SD card just to see if you experience the same issue?

 

We'd also recommend making sure that your SD card is not formatted as Internal memory as this will cause issues with the Spotify cache, as well as possibly causing the SD card to fail.

The SD card is formatted correctly.

 

I have not attempted using my phone's internal storage and this workaround is not a solution.  If the software cannot properly support SD cards, the option should be absent.
